Welcome to Rudge & Co

Our journey on the road to handcrafting the finest taps began when the company was founded by Harold E Rudge at the end of the 19th Century and became a listed company on 1901.

Initially the company’s main production was oil cocks and other industrial components, During the Great War of 1914 -1918 Rudge was happy to join the war effort and the bulk of our production was turned over to munitions manufacture. When the war ended, excess capacity was used to produce plumbing fittings.

We are proud to remain an independent family owned business, based in the heart of England. Rudge and Co are now one of the very few brassware manufacturers who have a total in house capability to design and manufacture the highest quality bathroom taps and showers, kitchen faucets and accessories available in the world today.

Experience

All our products are hand crafted here in England embracing our long heritage in engineering. Our manufacturing process begins in our own foundry, progressing through the most technologically advanced CNC machine tooling available today and is then hand finished and assembled, with every piece being individually tested prior to despatch. Because we have all these functions within the business our ability to control quality is absolute.

Our heritage enables us to sympathetically bring our traditional kitchen and bathroom brassware into the 21st century.  Every tap incorporating ceramic ¼ turn cartridges and flow rates to give our customers maximum pleasure and satisfaction.

Providing an excellent service to our customer is paramount that is why we insist all manufacturing procedures take place within 20 miles of our factory in Wolverhampton to make sure we are never too far away from getting the parts, answers or results we require.
